What People Are Saying:
“I really loved how my coach was always finding new opportunities for me and helped me in areas that I don't have a lot of strength in. For example, she helped me craft some templates when I was reaching out to companies because I always had a mental block when I started contacting people.”
— Rianna Cleary, Software Engineer
“I love nursing and I knew I wanted to move into a management position but I have never felt 100% comfortable expressing myself in a professional setting in English. Lucy helped me find my voice, ace job interviews, land a management position, and develop my management communication style.”
— Elana Vasquéz, Nurse Manager

FAQs
1. Is Articulate You the same as career coaching?
Articulate You is a language + communication program that focuses on helping you develop the communication confidence to empower your career. In addition to a language coaching background, I have training + work experience in career coaching that I bring that element into Articulate You. While I help clients with their résumés, job interviews, elevator pitches, and other forms of communication associated with job searches, Articulate You focuses on the communication aspect more so than career coaching. I’m happy to refer trusted career coach colleagues in my network.
2. Is Articulate You for native English speakers or nonnative speakers?
I work with both native and non-native speakers who have at least an upper-intermediate level of English. Since Articulate You is a customizable program, we’ll focus on what your needs are + how you learn best, regardless of your native language. I have worked with clients from ~20 different countries, including native English speakers, heritage speakers, digital nomads, and nonnative speakers. As a language learner, I understand the struggles of communicating professionally in a nonnative language. I also know that communication struggles at work aren’t limited to nonnative speakers.
3. What if I need more than a month of coaching?
Articulate You is designed to help you see real progress on a specific goal. I have found that a month is a good timeframe for doing that. If you need more time, we can customize your program. Or, we can work on a new goal later!
4. What’s the difference between Articulate You and Business English classes?
Great question! Both help you develop stellar communication skills. Articulate You is a coaching program rather than a class, so we will work specifically on your workplace communication goals. And I’ll also help you dig into your prior learning experiences to figure out how you learn best so we can leverage that instead of going straight to a textbook (unless, of course, that’s something you enjoy😉).
5. What time zone are you located in?
I’m based in NYC, which is in the Eastern Time Zone in the US. But I have worked with clients as far away as California, Singapore, and Spain. If you’re interested in working with me but you’re worried our times don’t match up, then just send me a note with your availability, and I’ll see if we can find some times that work for both of us.
Let’s break down your language + communication barriers, figure out how you learn best, and design a plan to reach your goals in a creative, holistic, non-judgmental way that won’t hurt your brain.
